2019

Hello friends. The new year is almost upon us yet again and I thought it would be a great time to catch up with you guys. I hope you had a great time with your family over the last week, or if not that you still had a great time. The most important thing is to have a great time all the time. The solstice is a good occasion for reflection and for celebrations as usual for this time of year, and to think of the turn of times. Time flies and goes by when you get distracted or stuck busy for some reason.

I am still doing customer support here in Athens and I hope to work for long enough with this project to save up for some more independent traveling. I am also hoping to spend some more time among happy people on the islands of Greece next year and hoping to find some new places to stop and stay for a couple of weeks. There are still a lot of islands I have not had the pleasure of visiting yet. Crete is especially a planned stop on the itinerary because in spite of all the traveling here I never went.

The apartment is really cold right now and for the last month I’ve had to abandon using the living-room and the bedroom and had to move the operation to right next by the front door in the hallway. Apparently the building owner quit buying heating oil several years ago during the last depression and never turned the central heating back on again. I miss double pane windows and decent insulation. But then again spring is on the way back here in the northern hemisphere and too much heat and itchy mosquitoes will be a hassle again.

So now at the end of 2018 with this quick update I wish you a happy new Gregorian year, and also with a wish and hope to see you again. Love
